Localized Cryotherapy Overview
Unlike whole body cryotherapy (WBC), localized cryotherapy can be used to target specific areas of the body delivering the benefits of WBC locally. Clients frequently combine this treatment with WBC, to treat specific problem areas. With the ability to reach vapor temperatures as low as -240F, a local area treatment only requires 5-10 minutes.
The cold vapor is used to hyper cool select areas such as knees, hips, elbows, shoulders and back to help reduce swelling and pain similar to an ice pack. However, unlike icing, the dry cold is pleasant on the skin, much faster and can provide immediate relief to muscle spasms, aching joints and inflamed tissue. The local treatment is particularly useful for neck and scalp application to ease the pain of migraines. Many clients find the best results come by pairing whole body cryotherapy with a local treatment.
Effects and Benefits of Localized Cryotherapy

- Rapid relief from muscle spasm
